To date, traditional product photography has maintained a solid monopoly in the business image marketplace – but that foothold is quickly slipping. With the incredible advances in 3D image technology, corporations and marketing agencies are rethinking their approach to traditional photography as being the single best way to visualize and sell their products - and Virtual Pictures Company is positioned to take a lead in this new product visualization revolution.
Virtual Pictures Company has the extensive knowledge and experience with 3D and product marketing solutions to give them a solid foothold in the product photography marketplace. VPC's high-quality 3D product visualization services have the distinct advantage of offering clients quick and easily-adjustable camera angles and lighting solutions - without the costly time and limitations of traditional cameras and photo sets. Additionally, VPC's product image creation services offer clients choice, flexibility, and a better value for their money. For about the same cost as traditional photography - depending upon the complexity of the product to be modeled - VPC presents customers with the choice of placing their product (models) in unimaginable environments, viewed from impossible camera angles, and creatively lit in ways photographers can only dream of.
Other advantages of having a product virtually cloned by Virtual Pictures Company is that they can be animated for video. Virtual products animated in virtual environments offer 360 degrees of spherical rotation, revealing cut-away options, and detailed diagramming possibilities. And, when it comes time to adjust or reshoot a client's product, VPC can simply pull up the saved file, adjust the camera and environment as desired, e-mail the client a newly rendered proof, and finally, render out the final high-resolution / print-quality image or animation sequence.
Virtual Pictures Company has been creating high-quality 3D product imagery and animations since 1994. We have an extensive client list and serve both corporate and advertising agency clients.

With quantum leaps in the quality of 3D modeling, rendering, and animation software tools, current 3D technology now offers results that many would argue is superior and more flexible than photography and/or video. Photo-realism is finally here.
The advantages and flexibility that 3D offers, over illustration or photography, can be astounding. 3D allows a client to see a photo-real image (and animation) of their conceptual design or production-class product from any angle and in almost any environment - including a virtual photographic studio or using HDRE (High Dynamic Range Environments) technology to create real-world environments.
Once Virtual Pictures builds your product model or concept, we have the ability to visualize and animate your product from any angle, under any light condition, and in any environment. To check out our Product Visualization samples in our portfolio section. click here...
July, 2010 - McCarroll Creative drop their DBA name and revert back to their official name, Virtual Pictures Company® (VPC). Why the change? "Well," explains Bob McCarroll, Principal of VPC, "we never really stopped using the Virtual Pictures Company name, it has always been our official and working title - ever since we adopted and officially registered it back in 1994. However, when we moved our business location in 2005, we decided to do business as (DBA) McCarroll Creative, feeling it was more general in scope to the type of services we were offering our clients then.
Over the past few years, we've been creating more and more work in the virtual realm, including video, animation, and 3D work, and feel it's more relevent to market ourselves (once again) as VIrtual Pictures Company.
In the process, we also decided to give our brand a bit of a face lift. In the above image, you can see a before and after comparison of our original 1994 logo design and our newly updated version. For the new logo, we added a bit of 'tude by giving the elements a slight tilt. Also, and with new and improved Global Illumination (GI) rendering technology, we choose to add a little more color and brightness, including reflections, to help give the icon more presense and added depth."
